Scotland to Sicily 2016

We’ve started from John O’Groats at early hours on 15th June and rode along the coast following single malt legends to Wick, home town of Pulteney Whisky. Then we carried on further and stopped at Glenmorangie distillery, near Tain. Unfortunately on the way there we losr our travel friends teddy christmas dog (he’s done Romania and Scotland last year with us) and newly hand made teddy minion by Veronika due to high side winds :(. We went back to try to find them, but with no luck. RIP to our friends!

After quick distillery visit we continued to Forres, to visit Historic Distillery museum, Dallas Dhu which last bottled whisky was in 1983. After this, next stop was in Elgin where Glen Moray is produced. Last whisky stop for the day was near Aberlour at Speyside Cooperage, to buy last mini whisky sample (due to storage capacity limits).

Almost all day we have been riding in the rain. After 4 hours almost all clothes soaked, mainly non Gore-tex gear (jackets) started being annoying. We’ve made a call to daughter of slovakian Samaria member who lives with family in Inverurie. She was happy to take us for a night. We’ve accepted her invitation and it was a big help for 2 soaked bikers! We’ve enjoyed night with nice people whose kids gave us a new talisman: black angry Gorilla. We named it Happy because she is going to have fun with us for next couple of months.
